David
David was a mere shepherd boy when anointed by The High Priest, Samuel, to become the future King of Israel. He is best known for killing Goliath.
One day as he carried lunch to one of his brother's who served in King Saul's army, he heard Goliath cursing God. When all other's in King Saul's army trembled in fear, David stood before Goliath with only five stones and a slingshot. Goliath sneered and made fun of David....saying "Am I a dog that you come at me with sticks??? Come here and I will feed your flesh to the birds of the air and the beasts of the field." David replied "I come against you not in my own strength, but in the name of the Lord God Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. This battle is the Lords."
